Goodbye to the old & hello to the new....

I'm excited to announce that I have a new & much improved blogsite for displaying my images as well as a site dedicated to my true passion- photography.

I have had an amazing season this year- lots of great weddings, and awesome families who were totally open-minded and allowed me to do and be whatever I envisioned for them, behind the lens.

I don't generally get personal on my blog, but I do want to say, that I will welcome and I do appreciate constructive comments. There was one comment made a few weeks ago by an anonymous person that was rude & uncalled for. My photography can and will be critiqued, I realize that, but there's a way to say something and there's just plain ignorance. I hope that those who choose to follow my work are on my side, understanding that this is all a process and not a place to lash out. The great thing about photography & all creative arts, is that it varies in look & style and there isn't only one way to express it. Those that hire me do so because of my 'style'. I can't say enough thank you's to all of you who support my work and who have given me the courage to go after this dream. It's not always easy fitting it into my insanely hectic life, but I have come to realize that it is possibly the only one true thing that makes me feel completely authentic- completely 'me'. And I've also come to understand that it's not selfish, rather it's vital, as a woman & as an individual to have this outlet in my life.

I'll probably keep this blog as a place to post family stuff, but as of today ALL photography related events will be on my new blogsite.

Long grass, friendly birds & lots of smiles-now that's a photoshoot......

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my last photoshoot with the Woodruff family down in fish creek park. The boys were full of smiles, and baby Tea was sweet as ever, oh and more importantly, I got a smoochy shot out of Nate, although he was pretty adamant that it wouldn't happen. That was all for you Tanya- enjoy :)

Mevilles & Larsons- Urban Fever...

I managed to squeeze these two families into one of the last warm afternoons of the season. My hope was to get unique & fun looks for both while keeping the urban flair that a lot of families are going for this year.

I've really had a blast this season looking for new angles, incorporating color and adding a little fashion to my lifestyle sessions. I hope you both enjoy the preview...

My Mc-dreamys.....

I absolutely adore this family. Not only does this family include a member who I consider one of my dearest & closest friends, but as a whole, they are truely special to me. Carla is one of my biggest fans (thanks for believing in my talents..), and I truely look forward to ANY type of photo shoot with her, whether it be family or commercial.

Thanks for being such troopers in the less than ideal conditions ( -10, yikes!!) and all without complaint. Thank goodness for starbucks super warm & tastey hot chocolates.

D & B- A little glimpse into your special day....

Just over a week ago, I had the privilidge of shooting my second solo wedding of this season. It was the first time that I've ever shot a wedding consisting of a wedding party mostly under the age of 16....To my surprise & extreme pleasure, they were the funnest bunch of kids I've worked with, and no joke, many of us adults could learn a thing or two about patience from them!!

Congratulation Debbi & Bryan, you two are a stunning couple and I hope you enjoy some of the beautiful images that you & your family created....

An urban twist on family photos....

I had a blast with this fab-family last week. We decided that their style was more urban than suburban, and met up in Inglewood for an afternoon of fun. Thanks Dustin & Ashley for a memorable first family shoot of the season.....
